To intervene where the phenomena are manifested or acts by prevention before the occurrence is useful to ensure a good school climate, good social relationships, reinforce the self-esteem and prevent internalizing factors that could affect students and consequently lead to risk of non-social behaviors.
Some information is provided regarding national and international program of prevention and intervention on bullying and cyberbullying, some of them was developed in line with the evidence-based criterions. Finally, the characteristics of evidence-based intervention are explained with a vademecum step by step of evidence-based intervention to contrast bullying and cyberbullying.
Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is defined as deliberate harm inflicted to the surface of the body without the intent to die. This behavior, distinct from suicide, includes cutting, burning, and other socially unacceptable self-inflicted damages. Originally
seen as a symptom of mental disorders such as borderline personality disorder, NSSI is now also considered an independent diagnostic entity in the DSM-5. This distinction is crucial for improving assessment and specific treatment, though debates persist regarding risks of stigma and the validity of diagnostic criteria. Common among adolescents and young adults, NSSI is associated with psychological disorders, family stress, and lower academic performance. In this manuscript, we provide a summary of existing research on the prevalence, causes, factors contributing to, and purposes of NSSI. Furthermore, the paper discusses new discoveries and suggests approaches for addressing NSSI among adolescents.
The researchers distinguish two forms of bullying: traditional bullying and cyberbullying. Traditional bullying typically occurs face-to-face and includes physical acts, verbal provocation, ridicule, social exclusion, relational aggression, or other behaviors. While cyberbullying presents itself as an evolved form of victimization that concerns aggressive behavior through electronic or digital media by individuals or groups. The cyberbullying differs from traditional forms of bullying in that the perpetrators remain
anonymous, and the victim cannot escape, this creates an increase in psychological stress in victims. Both forms of bullying represent an emergency health problem worldwideand have negative consequences for the people involved throughout their lives. Seriousintervention programs are needed to reduce bullying through prevention programs, particularly in school contexts.
This article reflects on the constitutive aspects of the subject in terms of drives and the subjective impact of psychodrama in the training of Education Sciences students, focusing on the subject “Subject Area”. Psychodrama, a group technique that uses
dramatization and role-playing to address internal conflicts and personal experiences, was implemented, integrating feeling, thinking, and doing in the classes. The practice of psychodrama proved to be a powerful tool for connecting students with their vulnerabilities and those of their peers, facilitating a more comprehensive learning experience that encompasses both emotional and intellectual aspects. This demonstrates a significant impact on the subjectivity of students, promoting more complete training and better preparing them to face classroom challenges. It is suggested to incorporate methodologies that address the affective and intellectual dimensions of learning in teacher training.
This paper proposes in five sections the task of reflecting on adolescence as a singular moment in the lives of the subjects, as well as adolescence at the time, and establishing possible interventions in the field of education, as a contribution to those who, starting from their disciplinary fields, are dedicated to the task of training in teaching for secondary education.
Considering the academic scenario, the argument focuses on the challenges that had to be faced and that were determined not by an alleged didactic evolution, increasingly based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) but as a direct consequence of a global health emergency (Covid-19). In particular, the article, with special emphasis on the action-oriented approach to teaching Spanish as a foreign language, analyses the results obtained by the Spanish Language and Translation Chair of the University of Calabria in the pandemic period, when mixed methodologies were implemented through dynamic strategies that revealed the advantages and disadvantages of synchronous and asynchronous tools, and therefore the methodological-didactic potential of the system.
Mario F. At the same time, it must be said that the pace at which the “form” of the information spread, and culture becoming global, does not actually correspond
to the pace at which the latter has become truly accessible, indeed. From this point of view, one emblematic case is deafness, which is the sensory, and consequently cognitive, condition in which at least 30 million people in the world live (WHO 2021, 40).
These are people who still have considerable difficulties in terms of access to education, information, in terms of knowledge that involves their social life. Consequently, they may eventually face restrictions in the exercise of their citizenship rights. This phenomenon can be attributed to two interrelated factors: the audism typically exhibited by hearing individuals and the paucity of sign language exposure in educational settings. However, to achieve a truly democratic education, it is essential to implement sign-word bilingualism.
This article combines an essay exercise on problems that are currently expressed in daily school life, and various findings obtained in research developed by the authors.
He focuses his analyzes on two constitutive elements of the school: firstly, links that are deployed in said institution; On the other hand, ways in which period narratives about the temporal dialogue with others about the question of time circulate in the school
system. Regarding the first of the themes, the presence of sensations such as shame or hostility is analyzed, its relationship with the subjective demands of the time, and the ways in which these situations are processed at school. As for the second, the temporal, tensions are exposed between the meanings that are proposed from different non-school social spheres, and those in which the school is sustained.
The Italian debate on the relationship between the State and volunteering dates back to 1978 when the national health system was created. Volunteering is proposed as a filter between the State and the ‘vital worlds’ of our country, with the risk that volunteering, created to fill gaps institutional, ends up replacing the public service, creating new inequalities.
In Italy, hybrid experiences between these two worlds have recently increased: there are roles recognized by public institutions, but those who take them on are not paid and do not enjoy protection. The essay will analyze the figure of a voluntary guardian for unaccompanied foreign minors, to understand whether or not we are faced with a new frontier in the relationship between public and private in terms of social intervention and what effects there are on the quality of the process of reception and integration of lonely minors.
Lucia Montesanti Francesca Veltri Copyright (c) 2024 Quaderni del Dipartimento di Linguistica Università della Calabria 2024-12-30 2024-12-30 31 1 157 182 10.57574/5965477911 Il gioco online problematico: uno studio esplorativo https://www.cacuccibiblioteca.it/riviste/index.php/qdluc/article/view/158
The use of digital environments and technologies has attracted the interest of scholars from various disciplines, including social psychologists. This contribution aimsto explore the relationship between self and problematic online gaming, as well as the mediating role of body image and identification with the avatar. The study involved 114 online gamers (65.8% male) aged 18-50 years (M = 23.05, SD = 2.78), all residing in Italy. Participants completed self-report scales to assess the self, body image perception, tendency to identify with the online game avatar, and the risk of problematic online gaming. Results from correlation and multivariate analyses indicate that low levels of self, increased problematic video game risk, and negative body image perception. Identification with the avatar positively affects problematic online gaming. Additionally, it was found that self indirectly affects problematic online gaming only through avoidance, a coping strategy related to body image.
An interinstitutional agreement is an ambitious endeavor for both stakeholders. In addition to the bureaucratic requirements, planned academic action is needed to contribute to an enriching experience. This is what the Pedagogical Sciences and Educational Sciences careers of the University of Calabria, Italy, and the National University of Rosario, Argentina, respectively, assume within the framework of their double degree. Among these actions, an in-person extracurricular seminar aimed at Italian students can be mentioned, delivered by the author of this chapter in March 2023 as a visiting professor. Its importance relied on the fact that the students would immediately undertake two Seminars taught by the same professor at the Argentinean University. In this way, the face-to-face Seminar in Calabria would help pursuing university studies in a foreign
language. This chapter systematizes and assesses the contents of this Seminar, conceived as prolegomena for promoting a fruitful educational joint experience in different continents.
María Isabel Pozzo Copyright (c) 2024 Quaderni del Dipartimento di Linguistica Università della Calabria 2024-12-30 2024-12-30 31 1 227 252 10.57574/5965477913 L’educazione alla sessualità https://www.cacuccibiblioteca.it/riviste/index.php/qdluc/article/view/160
The chapter reconstructs the history and evolution of the concept of sexuality education, identifying its main perspectives and basic concepts, in order to dwell on the ambivalence and criticality of the Italian situation. Such subject is developed on the basis of two questions: where are women in archives, and to what extent digitization processes favour the recovery and conservation of
feminine documents. In order to respond to these topics, a case is utilized: the experience of sisters Olga and Leticia Cossettini as expressed in Leticia’s culinary notebook, recently discovered. Once the example is presented, theoretical clarifications around women and archives will be formulated, to conclude by revising the characteristics of digitization processes: universality, the place issue (archive), the material nature of documents, and the specificity of feminine document types in the digitization dynamics.
The increasing application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies is radically transforming the ways of analyzing multimedia files, affecting the possibilities of retrieving hidden information.
