Le document : miroir des enjeux institutionnels et de l’évolution linguistique des transitions écologique et énergétique en France (2007-2022)

Abstract

The main aim of this contribution is to highlight the crucial importance of documentation in a study on the discursive evolution of the terms ecological transition and energy transition. The study is based on an analysis of discourses issued by the French Ministry of the Environment over the period from 2007 to 2022. After examining the role of documentation in the advancement of linguistic research, its importance in the specific context of this study will be analysed, introducing the employed approach, the investigated corpus, and the methodology that has been used. Concrete examples drawn from the corpus will be illustrated, highlighting the dual functionality of documentation in the chosen approach. From this perspective, this study aims to underline that documentation can serve both as a material and as a contextual source, providing access to valuable linguistic information while helping to interpret socio-political realities and contemporary issues.
