Le terme hydrogène et le Vocabulaire de la CELF

Abstract

This article presents the results extracted from of a unilingual French corpus, concerning the field of hydrogen in relation to energy transition processes. The aim of this research consists in showing the diffusion of new linguistic units around the term hydrogen, resulting from the terminological extraction of our France Énergie corpus, which collects a range of ministerial documents (from 24 May 2012 to 5 January 2023). These results will be compared with the indications provided by the Commission d’enrichissement de la langue française in the Vocabulaire de l’Hydrogène, published in the Journal Officiel on 30th January 2021. The Commission’s challenge is to harmonise the French terminology relating to hydrogen; through this comparison we seek to verify whether this objective has been achieved.
